Jason brings experience in health policy and education to the Board, drawing on his career with the University of Victoria’s School of Health Information Science and the BC Ministry of Health. Born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, he has called Victoria home for the past 25 years. In his roles as a co-op coordinator and sessional instructor at UVic, he supports students in preparing for the workforce in project-based environments and in the use of information technology in healthcare settings.
Aligned with the Clubhouse model’s recovery-oriented values, he is passionate about empowering individuals with mental illness to achieve meaningful success. Jason is proud to support the organization’s mission and to advocate for the needs and potential of the members it serves.

Connections Place serves the communities of southern Vancouver Island and the south Gulf Islands that are located in the traditional territories of the Lkwungen (Esquimalt and Songhees), Malahat, Pacheedaht, Scia’new, T’Sou-ke and W̱SÁNEĆ (Pauquachin, Tsartlip, Tsawout, Tseycum) peoples.
We acknowledge our traditional hosts and honour their graciousness to the Clubhouse community and the ways we work, socialize, and advocate for wellness on these ancestral lands.
