Connections Place Sage Kittlin Galatyne

I’ve lived on Vancouver Island since I was just 4 years old. In that time, and while living with multiple mental health diagnoses, I have been through more than my share of ups and downs.

My lived experience includes homelessness, struggling with job security, and being a long-time member of Connections Place Clubhouse.That, combined with my skills and experience in public speaking, advocacy, organization, leadership, and computer expertise, mean I am well-suited to offer a unique perspective that can help my fellow board members and I understand how we can best support Connections Place through our roles.

I’m incredibly grateful to be trusted with this position, and look forward to doing my part to make Connections Place the best Clubhouse it can be.

Connections Place serves the communities of southern Vancouver Island and the south Gulf Islands that are located in the traditional territories of the Lkwungen (Esquimalt and Songhees), Malahat, Pacheedaht, Scia’new, T’Sou-ke and W̱SÁNEĆ (Pauquachin, Tsartlip, Tsawout, Tseycum) peoples.

We acknowledge our traditional hosts and honour their graciousness to the Clubhouse community and the ways we work, socialize, and advocate for wellness on these ancestral lands.
